Quid est veritas?
Is truth in words I hear,
Conflicting,
Combative,
Pouring out of leaders mouths,

Is truth in words I read?
Real news,
Fake news,
Printed news,
So many views,
Clouding like a fog.

Is truth in what I see,
Do you really look like that?
Filtered,
Cropped,
Photoshopped,
The line of fake made opaque?

Can I trust what you say,
How you look at me?
Maybe truth is in the eye of the behold,
Maybe that’s it’s beauty,
It’s curse,
Maybe there are many truths
among falsehood tied,
Behind a mask disguised
Maybe that’s where truth
In truth resides.
